About Me

Background

I am a local Cape Cod artist with an extensive background in oils, watercolor and acrylics. I enjoy painting landscapes, floral, faux finishes and decorative art. As an art teacher in both adult education and private classes, I have attempted to share my knowledge and love of art with others. I am also available for custom commission work. One project that I particularly enjoyed was this mural I painted near Snow Goose gift shop in Harwich Port.

Local Affiliations

As a member of the Guild of Harwich Artists, I served as director of the Art Gallery for eight years and former president of the Guild. I am also director of Art in the Park, where guild artists display their works for sale each Monday through July and August at Doane Park in Harwich Port.

Inspiration

There is so much beauty all around us on Cape Cod, from the picturesque landscapes to the simple elegance of everyday objects. With my canvas, brush, and palette of paints, I try to capture it all. My goal is to make beautiful scenes permanent by capturing their essence in my paintings.
